ARCHAEOLOGY AND BUILDING SURVEY

ARCHAEOLOGY
An integrated geophysical approach is used to detect buried archaeological structures. Foundations and buried structures are detected using high resolution magnetic gradiometry, GPR and a 2D – 3D Geoelectrical surveys. The final deliverable are interpretative plans indicating the location and the characteristics of archaeological features of interest.
3D BUILDING SURVEY AND MODAL ANALYSIS
Geophysics surveys supporting engineering studies on structural building elements are finalized at planning structure reinforcement or at evaluating structure vulnerability. A combination of GPR and 3D Geoelectrical surveys are mostly used, detecting non – invasively the presence of water, voids and types of foundation. GPR surveys through high frequency antenna allow the study of the rebars and structural elements. Modal analysis of buildings is carried out through triaxial seismometers providing the oscillation frequency of the structure.
